Van Meter Wins 2015 Cometic Gasket Hardcharger Award

(Salem, IN - October 21, 2015) – ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS veteran racer Eddie Van Meter has won the 2015 Cometic Gasket Hardcharger Award by gaining 57 positions over the 14 race 2015 series schedule. Van Meter had a great comeback season, ending a nine-year / 142-race winless streak with the series by claiming the win at the April 26th series event at Anderson Speedway. Van Meter went on to claim second in season Championship points, plus got a win in his first ever start with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour at Anderson Speedway on July 17th.

Senneker Performance Rookie competitor Matt Hall finished second with 41 gained positions, 23 of those gained positions came in the series season ending Winchester 400 event were Hall finished 12th after starting 35th. 2014 Cometic Gasket Hardcharger Award winner Wes Griffith Jr. finished in third with 33 gained positions, 23 of those came in the Winchester 400 were he started 33rd and finished 10th. Fellow rookie Mark Lambert finished fourth with 26 gained positions.

Cometic Gasket, the Official Gasket of the ARCA/CRA Super Series, will award Van Meter a $600 cash bonus at the 2015 Champion Racing Association Awards Banquet on Friday, January 8th at the Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Downtown at Union Station. A driver had to be in the top 15 in series points to be eligible for this award.
