Rod Conley Grabs Top Five in King of Hillbilly Hill; Sets Sights on Atomic

(WHEELERSBURG, OH – April 25, 2018)  Rod Conley, of Wheelersburg, Ohio, was the lone Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) driver in competition on Saturday evening, April 21, as he ventured to Midway Speedway in Crooksville, Ohio.  The unsanctioned 'Gibbys King of Hillbilly Hill' was held at the Buckeye State oval and a $5,000 top prize was on the line for the Super Late Models.

Rod dropped a spot to finish fourth in his heat race and later rolled off from the outside of the fourth row in the 50-lap feature event.  On the rough racing surface during the headliner, "Hot Rod" tried to stay out of trouble and survive, as he moved past a trio of competitors on his way to a solid fifth place outing behind only victor Tyler Carpenter, Zack Dohm, Jared Miley, and Derek Doll.  Full results from Midway Speedway can be found on their Facebook page.

Brothers Rod and R.J. Conley are both scheduled to be in Super Late Model action this Saturday night, April 28.  Rod plans to travel to Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio for a weekly $2,000 to win program, while R.J. plans to unload his potent #71c machine at 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky for a $3,000 to win showdown.  Additional information on both of these unsanctioned races can be accessed online at www.atomicspeedway.net and www.201speedway.net.
