Rick Eckert Scores First Career UMP Summer National Victory

(June 13, 2014) "Scrub" Rick Eckert scored his first career UMP Summer Nationals victory and his first win behind the wheel of the Rocket House Car tonight at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin! After making the nearly eight hour overnight jaunt to CLS, Rick timed in third fastest in Group B during qualifying prior to picking up the win in heat race action. The York, Pennsylvania native then started fourth in the 40-lapper and steadily made his way to the front of the field. Rick made his move for the lead past Bobby Pierce heading to the white flag and led the final two circuits of the 'Masters' opener en route to the $5,000 triumph over Pierce, Rodney Sanders, Brian Birkhofer, and Billy Moyer!
