R.J. Conley Wheels to $2,000 Atomic Win; Conley's Hammer Down Leading into July 4!

(WHEELERSBURG, OH – June 28, 2018)  R.J. Conley, of Wheelersburg, Ohio, bagged his third Super Late Model victory of the 2018 campaign on Saturday night, June 23 at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio!  In front of a huge crowd, R.J. stopped the clock third quickest overall during qualifying, won his heat race, and later took the lead on lap eleven of the weekly feature event.  He then went on to score a dominating victory in the 25-lap affair to cash a $2,000 paycheck over Freddie Carpenter, Tyler Carpenter, Andy Bond, and Rod Conley!

"Hot Rod" laid down the fifth fastest lap during time trials prior to winning his respective heat race in preliminary action.  Rod then fought hard for a top five effort and eventually finished the feature distance in the fifth position.  Hall of Famer Delmas Conley was also in the pits at the former K-C Raceway, but mechanical trouble in the pit area before hot laps even started caused the ageless wonder to scratch from the $2,000 to win program.  Full results can be accessed online by going to www.atomicspeedway.net.

The Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) teams will be very busy leading up to the July 4th holiday, as several special events in Kentucky and Ohio will dot the racing calendar.  Up first will be a trip to 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky on Friday, June 29, as both Rod and R.J. Conley will vie for the $10,000 payday in an Iron-Man Championship Series showdown.  Delmas Conley will then join both of his sons in racing action on Saturday, June 30 at the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio.  The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will preside over the annual 'Independence 50,' which will boast a $12,000 top prize.

Rod and R.J. will then follow the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to Mansfield Motor Speedway in Mansfield, Ohio on Sunday, July 1 for another $12,000 to win contest.  Following a day off, Rod and his #71r team will close out the hectic stretch of racing by entering yet another $12,000 to win LOLMDS battle on Tuesday, July 3 at Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville, Ohio.  More information concerning these lucrative races can be found online at www.lucasdirt.com.
