R.J. Conley Sweeps Weekend Events at Moler and Atomic to Claim Over $4,000!

(WHEELERSBURG, OH  -  May 15, 2018)  R.J. Conley, of Wheelersburg, Ohio, picked up his first two victories of the 2018 racing season over the May 11-12 weekend at Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio and Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio!  On Friday night in the unsanctioned 'Spring Clash' at Moler, R.J. ran third in his heat race from the tail prior to starting the 30-lapper from the inside of the third row.  R.J. then blasted to the race lead on lap two and led most of the remainder of the feature distance to pocket the $2,000 winner's check ahead of Duane Chamberlain, Rod Conley, Robby Hensley, and John Whitney, Jr.  In the 65th Anniversary Night at Atomic on Saturday evening, R.J. won his heat race and later led from flag-to-flag in the headliner to score another $2,065 payday over Steve Casebolt, Duane Chamberlain, Rod Conley, and Mark Frazier.

Rod was very strong throughout the weekend as well in earning a pair of top five feature finishes.  "Hot Rod" ran second in his heat race prior to finishing third and on the podium at Moler Raceway Park.  He then won his heat race and ran second early in the main event at Atomic Speedway before settling for a solid fourth place effort.  You can view complete results from both southern Ohio venues by clicking on www.molerracewaypark.com and www.atomicspeedway.net.

For the first time this year, it looks like all three Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) drivers will be in competition over the May 18-19 weekend.  Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer Delmas Conley will make his season debut at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio, as he will join his son Rod Conley in the 'Outlaw Invasion' doubleheader.  The World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series will preside over a pair of $10,000 to win shootouts at Atomic Speedway on Friday and Saturday.  R.J. Conley, on the other hand, is scheduled to dip south to Richmond Raceway in Richmond, Kentucky on Saturday, May 19 to enter the 'Mike Roland Memorial,' which will be sanctioned by the Southern Nationals Bonus Series and also pay $10,000 to the winner.  More information concerning the races at both facilities can be found online at www.woolms.com and www.southernnationalsseries.com.
