On Saturday evening, July 25, J.T. Conley joined R.J. and Rod in the Buckeye Late Model Dirt Week finale at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio. R.J. finished fifth in the dash and later climbed to third in the $5,000 to win feature to cross underneath the checkers behind only race winner Jackie Boggs and runner-up Matt Westfall. Rod ran third in his heat race once again and later bagged a ninth place effort in the 40-lapper. J.T. placed fourth in heat race action, but was unfortunately wrecked by another competitor in the 'Reno & Sons Lawncare 40' and was forced to settle for a twenty-third place performance.
The patriarch of Conley Motorsports, Inc., Delmas Conley, traveled to the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on Saturday for a regular weekly show, which paid $2,000 to the winner. Delmas faced a myriad of mechanical issues throughout the night and eventually retired from the A-Main with a hole in his radiator, which dropped the Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer to a disappointing eighteenth place showing. Next up for Rod, R.J. and J.T. Conley will be a trip north to Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville, Ohio this Saturday evening, August 1 for the 33rd edition of the 'Jim Dunn Memorial.' The unsanctioned Super Late Model special boasts a $10,000 winner's check.
