NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series 2017 Week 6 Round Up

(Cartersville, GA – May 1, 2017)   NeSmith Weekly Racing Series competitors have wrapped up 6 weeks of action for the 2017 season. Hunter Carroll still sets atop the leaderboard after picking up a win on Friday night at Columbus Speedway.

Headlines from Week 6:

• Camden Speedway's NeSmith Late Model Winner on Saturday night was Adam Ray.
• North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL reopened for the first action at the track since 2014, and Ben Brocato visited victory lane for his first win of 2017.
• Ryan Carter visited Cochran Motor Speedway on Saturday night to pick up his second consecutive feature win.
• Shep Lucas was the NeSmith Panhandle Challenge Series win on Saturday night at Flomaton Speedway in Flomaton, AL.
• ECM Speedway's Saturday night Feature Winner was Richard Smith.
• Cliff Ross was victorious in Saturday night action at Jackson Motor Speedway.
• "The General" Shannon Lee took home the checkered flag on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway.
• Current point leader Hunter Carroll visited victory lane once again at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS on Friday night.
• 2015 Sunoco Young Guns Challenge Series Champion Cruz Skinner picked up his first win of 2017 at Talladega Short Track - where the NeSmith Touring Series makes two stops May 5th and 6th .
• 2016 NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock National Champion Spencer Hughes continues to impress after picking up the win at Magnolia Motor Speedway on Saturday night.
• Oglethorpe Speedway Park's Friday night feature win went to Garrett Shurling.
• Scott Ladner cashed in with a win at LA 36 Speedway on Saturday night.
• Mother Nature was the unfortunate winner on Saturday night at both Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, NE, and Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS.
