NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series 2017 Week 26 Round Up

(Cartersville, GA – September 19, 2017)   Even though the 2017 National Championship has been claimed by Nebraska's Josh Leonard, the driver added another win to his 2017 totals after taking the checkered flag at Lexington Raceway on Saturday. As the final week of the Weekly Racing Season approaches, drivers will try to remain inside the top 10 in points to receive their invitation to the NeSmith Racing Awards Banquet in January of 2018.

Headlines from Week 26:

• Greenville Speedway's Friday night win went to a familiar name as Duke Palasini parked his #V8 machine in Victory Lane.
• Jimmy Halford took the Saturday night NeSmith Late Model victory at Camden Motor Speedway in Camden, TN.
• Brad Berry won Saturday night's Jerry Goodwin Memorial Challenge to Beat Cancer event at Talladega Short Track. Doing so also guarantees Berry a starting spot in the 2018 edition of the Ice Bowl at TST.
• Dusty Leonard took his #7D machine to the winner's circle on Saturday night during NCRA action at Thunderhill Speedway in Kansas.
• Friday night Feature Winner at Salina Speedway in Salina, KS went to Dylan Schmer.
• LA 36 Speedway's Saturday night NeSmith Late Model feature winner was Kody Barber.
• 2017 National Champion Josh Leonard added an exclamation mark to his phenomenal season by picking up the win on Saturday night at Lexington Raceway in Lexington, NE.
• Dustin Harris tamed "Alabama's Action Track" and took home the win on Saturday night at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL.
