NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series 2017 Week 21 Round Up

(August 14, 2017 - Cartersville, GA) - Jeremy Shaw has positioned himself atop the National Point standings at the end of Week 21 for the NeSmith Weekly Racing Series season. He holds a narrow two-point lead over Nebraska driver Josh Leonard, who is competing for his first season in NeSmith Late Model competition at both Junction Motor Speedway and Lexington Speedway in Nebraska. Both drivers will be in search of more wins during the remaining weeks to hopefully take command of the lead and land the $10,000 payday that goes to the National Champion.

  • Shep Lucas takes the win in Panhandle Challenge Series action for Northwest Florida Speedway that was hosted at Southern Raceway on Saturday night.
  • Ben Brocato tamed "Alabama's Action Track" North Alabama Speedway taking home the victory on Saturday night at the Tuscumbia, AL track.
  • Josh Leonard continues to stack up wins and strong finishes in his first season of NeSmith Late Model action after picking up another victory at Lexington Raceway in Lexington, NE on Sunday night.
  • Evan Ellis put his #73 machine in Magnolia Motor Speedway Victory Lane on Saturday night.
