NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series 2017 Week 15 Round Up

(Cartersville, GA – July 5, 2017)   Hunter Carroll maintains the NeSmith Weekly Racing Series National points lead after 15 weeks of action. Several drivers are approaching the 14 weeks of competition that will start allowing them to replace their worst finish, and with that we will see some drivers begin to work their way to the top of the standings. Those drivers already there will also be dropping their worst finishes and improve their totals as the second half of the season begins.

Headlines from Week 15:

  • Jeremy Shaw picked up the Friday night Week 15 win at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS and then followed that up with a Week 8 Monday make-up to close out the week.

  • Christian Hanger took home the Friday night win at Clayhill Speedway in Atwood, TN.

  • Jackson Motor Speedway's Saturday night Weekly Racing Series win went to Cliff Ross.

  • Josh Banes tamed the gumbo and picked up a Friday night feature win at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS.

  • Scott Ladner was victorious on Saturday night at LA 36 Speedway in Lacombe, LA.

  • Delbert Smith picked up a Saturday night Weekly Racing Series victory at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, NE.

  • Brandon Shaw collected the checkered flag and stopped the win streak of Seth McCormack with his Saturday night win at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL.

  • 2016 NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock National Champion Spencer Hughes grabbed another win since making the switch to the NeSmith Late Model division on Sunday night at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS.
