NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series 2017 Week 14 Round Up

(Cartersville, GA  - June 28, 2017)- Week 14 of the NeSmith Weekly Racing Series season is complete and that will take the 2017 season just past the halfway point of the 27 weeks of competition. Hunter Carroll and Kody Barber occupy the top two spots and will look to maintain their positions at the top of the charts with a busy Independence Day holiday weekend coming up for Week 15 action.

Headlines from Week 14:

  • Josh Leonard will be a driver to watch as he picked up another NeSmith Weekly Racing Series win on Saturday night at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, NE.

  • Dan Smith has made his way inside the top 20 of the National point standings after grabbing a Sunday night win at Lexington Raceway in Lexington, NE.

  • Adam Ray picked up a NeSmith Late Model victory at Jerry Russell's Camden Motor Speedway on Saturday night.

  • A name familiar to victory lane at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS is Palasini, but it was Duke Palasini who grabbed the victory on the gumbo Saturday night.

  • A driver that will be one to watch as he logs more races during the 2017 season, Seth McCormack, just picked up his 3rd win in a row at "Alabama's Action Track" - North Alabama Speedway. He could be a contender before the season's end for the $10,000 National Championship.

  • Mother Nature was once again tough to deal with after Tropical Storm Cindy caused cancellations from many of the Weekly Racing Series sanctioned tracks during Week 14.
