Kaz Grala Looking for Big Results at New England Homecoming

KAZ GRALA LOOKING FOR BIG RESULTS AT NEW ENGLAND HOMECOMING

(DAYTONA BEACH, FL  -  July 15, 2015) - After qualifying fourth and finishing third at Columbus Motor Speedway, New England native Kaz Grala is eager to hit the Magic Mile for the United Site Services 70 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

When the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East takes the Green Flag on Friday afternoon, the 16-year-old Grala will be making his second start on one of the most famed one-mile speedways in the country. For a native of Boston, Mass, competing at New Hampshire Motor Speedway is about as close to home as it gets.

The one-mile Granite State speedway is not only the home event for Grala, but is the home track to many of Grala's sponsors, most notably Kiklos, NETTTS, OzLINK, and Argotec.

When asked about the magnitude of a victory at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Grala said, "Winning at New Hampshire would be the biggest victory of my career. We have so many friends and family coming to the race, as well as we've got many of our sponsors in attendance, so to win in front of everybody would be huge for myself and for Ben Kennedy Racing."

Grala might be enthusiastic about racing at home, but he doesn't take for granted the enormous challenge posed by the Magic Mile.

"New Hampshire is a very tricky track with fast straightaway speed and much slower corner speed since it has little to no banking," said Grala. "This makes for an unbelievably technical track for a driver and passing is going to be a challenge. The key to passing is going to be getting my Kiklos Toyota Camry handling better through the center of the corners than my competitors' cars."

Even with a top-10 finish in this event last year, Grala admits it wasn't one of his best races so he's looking for an even stronger showing in his sophomore season.

"This year I'm looking for redemption," said Grala. "Not just for myself, but for all my local fans and sponsors. Kiklos, NETTTS, OzLINK, and Argotec are all New England based companies, so a good finish at their home track would be extra special."

Practice for the United Site Services 70 gets underway Thursday, July 16th at 3:00 p.m. with a final practice at 5:00 p.m. Qualifying for the race will take place Friday morning at 10:15 a.m. with an autograph session at 12:30 p.m. The United Site Services 70 has a Green Flag time of 6:00 p.m.

The race will be broadcast in tape-delayed format on NBC Sports Network on Thursday July, 23 at 7:00 p.m. EDT.
