Eddie Carrier Jr. Wins at Florence Speedway

 

(Union, Ky – June 24, 2017)    After Mother Nature axed the weekend opener at Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Kentucky) on Friday night, Eddie Carrier Jr. headed to Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) on Saturday for the Schaeffer Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series sanctioned contest. Leading the night off with the fastest time overall in a field of 36 cars, Eddie went on to capture a heat race win locking him into the pole position for the A-Main. After losing the lead in the opening laps, Carrier Jr. inherited the top spot back when the leader made contact with the wall. Holding off a hard-charging Jason Jameson in the final laps, Eddie Carrier Jr. streaked to his first win of the season over Jameson, Michael Chilton, Steve Casebolt, and Zach Dohm. He pocketed a $10,000 payday for his triumph in the feature.
