Dunn Benson Motorsports and Bobby Pierce Wins 3rd Race of Season in Brownstown Indiana

(DUNN, NC - September 24, 2018) – The Dunn Benson Motorsports Team and driver Bobby Pierce picked up their third WIN of 2018 this past weekend on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. The Team with driver Bobby Pierce entered the Jackson 100 in Brownstown, IN and started 19^th in the field for the 100-Lap feature event. Bobby charged into the top ten by the halfway mark on lap 50 and continued his march to the front in the second half of the event. A caution with just 19 laps left tightened the field back up with Bobby up to 3^rd place at this point. In the final 19 laps Bobby moved into 2^nd place and chased down leader Johnathan Davenport. The two drivers ran side by side over the final 3 laps with Bobby edging out front on the white flag lap. Bobby would cross the finish line in 1^st place after 100 laps just 0.237 seconds ahead of Davenport to earn his 3^rd victory of 2018.

I didn't think what they suggested would work. I think I won a kid mods race here before, but this is obviously very special win, this track has such a great racing history. So far in 2018 Dunn Benson Motorsports has 3 wins and is in 6^th place in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series National Point Standings with just four (4) point races left this year. The Dunn Benson Motorsports Team and Bobby Pierce will be back in action again this weekend with two more Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt series sanctioned events. The Team visits Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Ga., on Saturday, September 29th and Rome International Speedway in Rome, Ga., on Sunday, September 30th.
