Conley's Split Up to Invade Atomic and Portsmouth this Weekend

(WHEELERSBURG, OH – July 10,2019) The Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) team started their recent Independence Day holiday weekend on Thursday, July 4 at the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series rolled into town to sanction the annual 'Independence 50,' which boasted a $12,000 payday. Rod Conley placed third in his heat race and raced hard for a top ten showing in the 50-lap headliner before settling for a thirteenth place effort against the national touring stars. His brother R.J. Conley finished fifth in his loaded heat race, third in the B-Main, and twenty-second in the 50-lapper after suffering a shock malfunction.

J.T. Conley also made an appearance over the holiday weekend on Friday evening, July 5 at Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio. Unfortunately, transmission issues in his heat race put him behind for the night and the young driver was unable to make the start in the $1,500 to win feature event. Full results from both of these races can be found online at www.portsraceway.com and www.thenewmrp.com.

All four CMI drivers are slated to be in action this upcoming Saturday night, July 13 at one of two Buckeye State venues. Delmas, R.J., and J.T. Conley will take their racing talents to Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio for a $2,000 to win weekly Super Late Model showdown. Rod Conley, on the other hand, will venture north to Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio for a similar $2,000 to win contest.
