Billy Moyer Masters Hometown Batesville Motor Speedway for First Victory of 2018!

(BATESVILLE, AR – May 2, 2018)    Billy Moyer and his Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team celebrated in victory lane for the first time in 2018 on Friday night, April 27 at the nearby Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas!  Billy knocked down the fastest lap overall in COMP Cams Super Dirt Series qualifying and later won his heat race in preliminary action.  The popular driver known as "Mr. Smooth" then led all but one circuit in the 30-lap headliner to secure the $2,000 triumph over Jack Sullivan, Robert Baker, Gavin Landers, and Jared Landers!

The dirt-slinging action quickly switched to Legit Speedway Park in West Plains, Missouri on Saturday evening, April 28, as the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series and the Lucas Oil MLRA Series co-sanctioned a $3,000 to win showdown.  Billy ran fifth in his loaded heat race at the former West Plains Motor Speedway before claiming the second transfer spot through his B-Main.  In the 40-lapper, Billy started the race from the outside of the ninth row, but unfortunately drew a lap 27 caution flag for mechanical issues and eventually wound up twenty-fourth in the final finishing order.  Complete results from both weekend races can be accessed online at www.compdirt.com.

Next up on the racing calendar for the #21 team will be a visit to Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, Louisiana this Saturday, May 5 for the eighth edition of the 'Pelican 50.'  The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series will preside over the single-day shootout, which will boast a $4,000 top prize.  A full show of qualifying, heat races, consolation events, and a 50-lap finale will be on tap.  Billy will be gunning for his ninth career CCSDS win this weekend in the Pelican State.  More information concerning the 'Pelican 50' can be obtained by pointing your web browser to www.compdirt.com.
