Snocross Revamps Schedule – Improved locations and fan experience in store for 2019-2020 season

(ALBERTVILLE, MN – September 8, 2019) A perfect mix of history, new venues and a return to the Fargo area is in store for the upcoming AMSOIL Championship Snocross, Powered by RAM season.

The major news coming out of the International Series of Champions headquarters is the addition of three new venues, but only one new market this season. The series will return to the Fargo, N.D. market for the first time in three years, with a national event being held at the Buffalo River Race Park on December 13-14.

Venue changes in Iowa and Michigan were made to improve the overall fan experience. The Theisen’s Snocross National presented by Kwik Star will be earlier in the season on January 31-February 1, 2020. The event will be held at the Dubuque County Fairgrounds, a move designed to offer better accommodations, viewing and parking. The Michigan National is also moving from its traditional February date to March 13-14. The race weekend will include a new venue, with details available in coming weeks.

“We took a long look at how we can improve our events without leaving markets that have been really, really good for us the past few years,” said ISOC president Carl Schubitzke. “We wanted better access for teams, and a better experience for fans. These venues will help us accomplish that.”

The remaining five events, many of which have been the bedrock of snocross over the years, will remain in place. The AMSOIL Duluth National, presented by Kwik Trip will be on Thanksgiving weekend in Duluth, Minn. The New Year will begin with the traditional stop at the Pirtek National January 3-4 in Shakopee, Minn. The U.S. Air Force National will return to the Days of ’76 Event Center in Deadwood, S.D. January 24-25. Following the Iowa rounds, the ACS moves out East for its annual trek to upstate New York for the Seneca Allegany Snocross National in Salamanaca, N.Y. on February 21-22. The RAM Trucks Grand Finale presented by Nielsen Enterprises will wrap-up the season March 2–22 in Lake Geneva, Wis.

Race fans will continue to tune into AMSOIL Championship Snocross, Powered by RAM via the series partnership with CBS Sports Network and the world-class livestream production available at snocross.com.
