Sunoco E98 is 98 percent ethanol with 2 percent gasoline denaturant. E98 has become popular as a race fuel for many types of applications. Ethanol is used for its high resistance to detonation, ability to lower intake air temperatures and high oxygen content. All of these factors give racers more freedom to modify and tune engines for greater performance. Sunoco E98 can be used a race fuel or be blended with other gasolines to make a desired ethanol concentration. This product is designed to meet ASTM standard D4806 standard specification for Denatured Fuel Ethanol for blending with gasoline.
Sunoco E98 does not contain metallic additives and will not harm oxygen sensors or catalytic converters. It should be stored in dark, tightly sealed containers where the temperature is stable. Handled under such conditions, shelf life is in excess of 1 year. Check with your fuel system and fuel container manufacturers for compatibility with ethanol and E98 blends. A corrosion inhibitor is added during the manufacturing process.
